செய்துங்கநல்லூர் இரட்டை கொலை வழக்கு: இரு குற்றவாளிகளுக்கு இரட்டை ஆயுள் தண்டனை
செய்துங்கநல்லூர் காவல் நிலைய எல்லைக்குட்பட்ட பகுதியில் 2013ஆம் ஆண்டு நடைபெற்ற இரட்டை கொலை வழக்கில், இரு குற்றவாளிகளுக்கு தலா இரட்டை ஆயுள்தண்டனையும் அபராதமும் விதித்து தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்ட முதலாவது கூடுதல் அமர்வு நீதிமன்றம் இன்று (01.09.2025) தீர்ப்பு வழங்கியது.

2013 ஜனவரி 25 அன்று முன்விரோதம் காரணமாக, செய்துங்கநல்லூர் கால்வாய் மாதங்கோவில் தெருவில், கால்வாய் பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த சண்முகம் (67/13) மற்றும் பட்டமுத்து (32/13) ஆகியோரை எதிரிகள் அரிவாளால் தாக்கி கொலை செய்தனர்.
இரட்டை கொலையில் ..
15 பேர் கைது!!!
இந்த சம்பவத்தில், கால்வாய் பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த மணி (57/2025), மாசாணம் (38/2025) உட்பட மொத்தம் 15 பேர் கைது செய்யப்பட்டனர்.
இவ்வழக்கின் விசாரணை தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்ட முதலாவது கூடுதல் அமர்வு நீதிமன்றத்தில் நீதிபதி தாண்டவம் முன்பு நடைபெற்றது.
கொலை குற்றவாளிக்கு இரட்டை ஆயுள் தண்டனை தீர்ப்பு!!!
இதில், குற்றவாளிகளான மணி மற்றும் மாசாணத்திற்கு தலா இரட்டை ஆயுள்தண்டனையும் தலா ரூ.20,000/- அபராதமும் விதிக்கப்பட்டது.

மற்ற 13 எதிரிகள் ஆதாரமின்மையால் விடுவிக்கப்பட்டனர்.
இவ்வழக்கை சிறப்பாக புலனாய்வு செய்த அப்போதைய செய்துங்கநல்லூர் காவல் நிலைய ஆய்வாளர் பட்டாணி, அரசு தரப்பு வழக்கறிஞர் ஆனந்த் கேப்ரியல் ராஜ், விசாரணைக்கு உதவியாக இருந்த தலைமை காவலர் அமுதாசூர்யா ஆகியோரை மாவட்ட காவல் கண்காணிப்பாளர் ஆல்பர்ட் ஜான் இ.கா.ப பாராட்டினார்.

In connection with the double murder case that took place within the jurisdiction of the Seydunganallur Police Station, the Thoothukudi District First Additional Sessions Court today (01.09.2025) sentenced two accused to double life imprisonment each and imposed a fine of Rs. 20,000 each. It is noteworthy that in the past eight months alone, convictions in 16 murder cases have resulted in life imprisonment for the accused.
On 25.01.2013, due to prior enmity, Shanmugam (67/13), son of Sivasubbu, and Pattamuthu (32/13), son of Nambi, both residents of the Kaalvai area, were hacked to death with sickles on Kaalvai Mathangovil Street. Following the incident, police from Seydunganallur Police Station arrested a total of 15 accused persons, including Mani (57/2025), son of Nambi, and Maasanam (38/2025), son of Isakki, who are also residents of the Kaalvai area.
The case was heard before the Hon’ble Mr. Justice Thiru Thandavam at the Thoothukudi District First Additional Sessions Court. After trial, the judge today (01.09.2025) convicted Mani and Maasanam, sentencing them to double life imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 20,000 each, while acquitting the other 13 accused persons.
The then Inspector of Seydunganallur Police Station, Mr. Pattani, who diligently investigated the case, Government Public Prosecutor Mr. Anand Gabriel Raj, who effectively argued before the court securing conviction, and Head Constable Mrs. Amuthasurya, who assisted in the investigation, were appreciated by District Superintendent of Police Mr. Albert John, IPS.
It is significant to note that in the last eight months alone, convictions have been delivered in 16 murder cases, awarding life imprisonment to the accused.
